How we handle your details.

Who we are
MERT Commercial Services L.L.C-FZ ("MERT", "we") is the controller of the personal data described here. Contact: stephen@mertcommercial.com.
What we collect
- If you request a walkthrough: your name, company, role, trade, email, optional phone number, preferred times and any message you write.
- If you email us: your email address and what you send.
- This website does not use advertising cookies or analytics trackers.
- Our website host keeps standard access logs, including IP addresses, for security.
Why we use it, and our basis
To reply to your request, arrange a walkthrough and discuss whether MERT AI would help your business. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries, and steps you ask us to take before any agreement.
Who sees it
Only us, and the service providers that carry your details to us: our email provider (Microsoft), the form service for the walkthrough form (Formspree), and our website host (Netlify). Formspree's automatic spam filter checks each form submission before it reaches us. If you think your message was blocked, email us directly. We may use an AI assistant to help draft replies; it doesn't decide anything about you. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
International transfers
We're based in the UAE, so your details are handled by us there. Our form service (Formspree) and website host (Netlify) are based in the US, and our email provider is Microsoft. We'll confirm the safeguards that apply when our legal review is complete.
People we contact on LinkedIn
We keep your name, company, role and our messages to manage our business contacts, on the basis of legitimate interest. Ask us and we'll stop and delete them.
How long we keep it
If no business relationship follows, we delete the enquiry email from our inbox after 12 months. If one does, we keep records for as long as the relationship and legal obligations require. Our form service (Formspree) is set not to store form submissions; it passes them to our inbox.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, object to its use, or ask us to restrict it. Email us. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Please don't send confidential documents
Don't send tender documents through the form or by email until we have agreed how they will be handled.
